Supporting Organizational Operation
By reducing tasks for organizational operation, we ensure environment that enables researchers focus more on their studies.
ACNet promises the following five:
- By accepting and doing the clerical work across-the-board, ACNet will reduce deskwork of academic societies.
- By processing deskwork common to different academic societies at once, we increase the efficiency of the work process.
- By using CANPAN, or the information infrastructure for NPO assistance, we realize acceptance of deskwork at a minimum cost.
- By providing a secure room and private information manager, we put extra effort on managing private information.
- By working with certified accountants, we put our great effort on processing appropriate accounting and settlement results including their voluntary inspections.
Organizational Operation Supporting Service by ACNet
We are eligible to conduct the following clerical works for organizational operation of an academic society en bloc:
- Accepting application and withdrawal registrations, accepting address changes, managing member list, recording status of membership fee payment, and sending of newsletters, journals, invitations and reports
- Charging membership fees, urging arrears to be paid, managing accounting of small amounts, storing of payment vouchers, making of financial statements, accounting audit (voluntary audit), making of budgetary plans
- Printing out invitations, sending them, confirming participation, handling letter of proxy from board members
- Putting together articles and advertisements, handing the manuscripts to publishers, mailing publications, and charging advertisement cost
- Informing of conferences, releasing on the Web of activity information, profiles and achievements of members, progress reports and research papers, issuing mail magazines, and exchanging information using the online bulletin board

By accelerating “information distribution” between academic societies and their members, ACNet strives to improve the amount and quality of Japanese academic research activities.
